QuestForgeThe Obsidian Vault for Dungeon Masters
Your campaign already exists — in six Google Docs, a Discord thread, two notebooks and your head. QuestForge is the finished Obsidian vault that holds all of it in one place, with a DM Screen that updates itself while you write.

Campaign notes don't get messy. They get unusable.
It starts organised. Session 4 you add a tavern keeper, session 9 the party comes back and asks her name, and you spend ninety seconds scrolling a document while five people watch. By session 20 you have written down more than you can find, which is functionally the same as having written nothing.
The fix isn't discipline, it's structure: one note per thing, links between them, and a dashboard that reads those notes back to you. That is all QuestForge is — built, wired up and filled in.
What's in the vault
The honest list. No encounter generator, no 50 campaigns, no stat blocks — the things it does have, it does properly.

The DM Screen, mid-campaign
Every note you write feeds this page. You never update it — it queries the vault each time you open it.

Questions before you buy
Do I need to know Obsidian already?
No. The vault ships with a Start Here note and a README that walk you through the first two minutes. If you can unzip a folder, you can run it. If you want to learn the system first, the step-by-step guide builds the same structure by hand, free.
What exactly do I get for $129?
A ~600 KB ZIP: a complete Obsidian vault with a Dataview DM Screen dashboard, 7 templates, one fully linked example campaign, 2 random tables, and Dataview + Templater already installed and configured. Plus lifetime updates and email support.
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment, yours forever. The files sit on your disk as plain Markdown — if QuestForge disappeared tomorrow, your campaign would still open in any text editor.
Does it work on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad?
Anywhere Obsidian runs, which is all four. Obsidian itself is free for personal use; syncing between devices is your choice (Obsidian Sync, iCloud, Dropbox, Syncthing, a git repo — the vault doesn't care).
Which game systems does it fit?
It's written with D&D 5e in mind, but nothing in it is rules-specific — the templates track NPCs, factions, quests, locations and sessions. Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark and homebrew all fit without edits.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes — the DM Quick-Start Vault is the same system in miniature, for free. If the DM Screen clicks for you there, QuestForge is the full build.
